Family Child Care

Family Child Care (FCC) provides Navy families with a high-quality, home-like alternative to center-based childcare. Care is offered in both on-base government housing and approved off-base civilian housing, giving families flexible options that support a wide range of schedules and needs.

FCC is a cost-effective way to expand childcare availability while offering convenient full-day, part-day, evening, weekend, and hourly care (where available). Providers care for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years and operate as independent, Navy-certified professionals.

Why Choose Navy FCC?

  • Small group sizes for more individualized attention
  • Developmentally appropriate, high-quality care
  • Flexible hours, including extended or 24/7 care (provider-dependent)
  • Options for infant-only care or care for children with special needs
  • Providers trained and certified to meet Navy health and safety standards
  • Ongoing monitoring and support from FCC Program staff
